Making A Purchase Making a purchase could not be easier. Just browse our Catalog, and click the 'Add to Basket' button next to the item that you wish to buy, which puts it into the shopping cart. After you have finished your selection, click on "Checkout" and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to satisfy your order.
We accept credit card payment. If you are shopping from North America or anywhere else, place your order and your credit card company will convert the transaction to US Dollars or your own currency.
We accept Visa and Mastercard. We do not charge for any item until it is ready to ship. Backordered items are not charged until they are shipped. You may send your credit card information via phone, fax, snail mail or over the Internet.
Price.
1.1 The price of goods sold will be that fixed by the Hereford Map Centre at the date of despatch to the customer.
1.2 The Hereford Map Centre reserves the right to charge the customer carriage charges and/or service charges and/or other charges incurred by them in connection with the supply of goods.

Shipping And Handling Delivery.
In the case of any deficiency or damage to goods despatched to the customer a telephone or personal notification should be made, supported by a written notifiation within 7 days of receipt.
Risk.
Risk for the goods passes from Hereford Map Centre to the customer once delivery has been effected.
Title.
Title in any goods passes from Hereford Map Centre to the customer only when payments in full have been received by Hereford Map Centre.
Liability.
Hereford Map Centre does not accept liability in any way whatsoever for the accuracy of any maps, plans or materials sold to the customer.
Force Majeure.
Hereford Map Centre shall not be liable for any failure loss, damage or delay or other matter which is due to nay event or circumstance outside it's control.
Shipping Costs.
Hereford Map Centre will charge post and packing at the correct rate as specified below:
British Isles and Ireland:-
Folded Maps will be charged at £1 each
Small Tubed items (eg Fir Tree Maps, aerial photographs etc) will be charged at £2 each
Books (not included road atlases) will be charged at £3 each
Large Tubed items (eg National Geographic wall maps etc) will be charged at £4 each
Atlases will be charged at £6 each
Globes and Framed items will be charged at £9.99
Next Day Delivery
Next day delivery is available in the UK. Orders must be placed before 3pm GMT. Next Day Delivery will be charged at the price shown on the website, starting at £6.50.
Europe:-
Folded Maps will be charged at £2 each
Small Tubed items (eg Fir Tree Maps, aerial photographs etc) will be charged at £4 each
Books (not included road atlases) will be charged at £6 each
Atlases will be charged at £6 each
The cost of shipping large tubed items, globes, and framed items varies depending on the destination country. We will provide you with a quote before processing your order. You may cancel your order without penalty if the quoted shipping price is unsatisfactory.
USA:-
Folded Maps will be charged at £3 each
Small Tubed items (eg Fir Tree Maps, aerial photographs etc) will be charged at £6 each
Books (not included road atlases) will be charged at £9 each
Atlases will be charged at £12 each
The cost of shipping large tubed items, globes, and framed items varies depending on the destination. We will provide you with a quote before processing your order. You may cancel your order without penalty if the quoted shipping price is unsatisfactory.
Rest of the World:-
Folded Maps will be charged at £4 each
Small Tubed items (eg Fir Tree Maps, aerial photographs etc) will be charged at £8 each
Books (not included road atlases) will be charged at £12 each
Atlases will be charged at £16 each

Delivery Schedule We deliver your order right away. We will normally send your order to you in six business days. International orders are generally received in under fourteen days. In the case of any deficiency or damage to goods despatched to the customer, a telephone or personal notification should be made supported by a written notification within 7 days of receipt.

Back Orders If your item is not in stock, we will back order for you. You will always be emailed with the option to cancel your order if you would rather not wait.

Tax Charges For orders made from the UK or the European Union, 17.5% VAT is added where applicable. But note there is no VAT on Books and Maps. All other orders are VAT free and you should click the exempt button to reduce VAT to zero .

Credit Card Security We know of no documented cases of credit card fraud using our shopping system over the Internet. All credit card numbers are encrypted in the software when the order is placed using 128 bit encryption. They are only decrypted after they reach our computer. They are not held in clear text on any web site.
