Cicerone Ben Nevis and Glen CoeCicerone Ben Nevis and Glen Coe
(Ref. Code. ISBN 9781852845025)

Lochaber and Glen Coe, next door to each other on either side of Loch Leven, offer the UK's greatest concentration of really magnificent mountains. From the Black Mount to the Grey Corries, from Ben Nevis to Buachaille Etive Mor, this is country for linking high peak to high peak along sharp and sometimes rocky ridges. Here too are low-level walks between, rather than over, these most spectacular of summits. Gentle footpaths from the Caledonian Canal to the Nevis Gorge and the birch woods of Kinlochleven are just the start. Beyond are great through-routes along empty glens by lonely bothies to the edges of Rannoch Moor. The area is notable for tent or bothy treks that are short (2–4 days), and well supplied with villages, railways and bus stops, but still serious in terms of remoteness and scenery.

- 100 graded routes covering the Grey Corries to Ben Cruachan, including Glen Etive and the Black Mount

- Includes the region’s 43 Munro summits and three scrambles

- Low and mid-level routes illustrated with 1:50,000 Landranger mapping

(Ref. Code. ISBN 9781852844523)

This guide to the Cairngorms explores the region's 23 Munro summits and also the smaller viewpoint hills outside the main range. For the adventurous there are the best of the area's rocky scrambles, and the classic through-routes used by cattle-drovers and Queen Victoria. For others there are easy, sandy trails wandering among the tall pines and along the banks of the great rivers Spey, Nethy and Dee.

Cicerone The Southern Upland WayCicerone The Southern Upland Way
(Ref. Code. ISBN 9781852844097)

The guidebook divides the walk into thirteen stages of varying length that will fill a two-week walking holiday in this relatively unknown area of Britain. Possibilities for shorter walking holidays along the Way are also fully discussed. The walk is at times a somewhat strenuous one, but advice is given as to how all of the longer stages may be broken down into shorter more manageable sections. The guide is packed with information on the many places of interest passed en route and the historical connections are thoroughly discussed.

Cicerone TorridonCicerone Torridon
(Ref. Code. 9781852840228)

Unlike most of the Cumbrian and Welsh peaks, the majority of these mountains do not have paths or walkers' tracks up them, but the many excellent stalker's paths take one deep into wild territory and often give a flying start to an ascent. Walkers in Torridon have to accustom themselves to free-ranging over heather, grass, rock and marsh. In the sketch maps, stalker's and the other paths are shown as broken lines; the recommended free-ranging routes are shown as dotted lines.
